What a change a good rise in water level makes.
Up to the end of September another
29 Salmon and 21 Seatrout were reported since my last update.
If 2022 brings us some more high water at the right time it could be an interesting season.

Low water, sunny and temperatures up to 25C are not the best conditions for fishing.

So it is no wonder that only 3 Seatrout were reported since my last update.

I can report a further 8 Salmon one of 20lbs and 6 Seatrout.

Covid-19 restrictions with regards to Salmon fishing have now been loosened,
but it is recommended to keep your distance from other anglers,
don't share/handle others fishing gear ( e.g. landing nets as helpful as this may look)
do not use fishing huts and use hand sanitisers when opening gates etc.

The first 2 Salmon of the 2021 season have been cought by local anglers.
A Fish of 21 lbs the notable one.

According to the Scottish Government fishing is now allowed for anglers within the local council area (Highland) only.

"Travelling from other parts of the UK to fish in Scotland:
This is still not allowed under current rules in Scotland."...

In the current circumstances fishing is allowed for local anglers only.

According to the Scottish Government website the following applies:

..."Angling is also permissible provided this is within a single household group, or the group contains no more than 2 people from 2 different households.
Children under the age of 12 from these households do not count towards this number.
You can travel for local outdoor sport or exercise such as angling but must stay within the more general requirements with regard to travel and ensure that you abide by the rules on meeting other households.
In general, stay as close to home as possible – within your local authority, or no more than 5 miles from the boundary – and stay away from crowded places.
.."
